211 Cafe

405 S Main St

Like a quetzal rising from the volcanoes of Guatemala, Mauricio is back and 211 Cafe is better than ever. It's now open inside the Bentonville Library, which makes for a great place to read or work remotely. Mauricio brews the best Guatemalan coffee around and no matter how hard you look you can only get this taste here in the Bentonville Library. He uses a medium roast so that you get more caffeine and the truest coffee taste. It's not bitter or dark, but smooth and bold.

Located not far from the Square, it's easy to stop inside and grab a drink, or sit outside and enjoy the spacious patio. They have a fairly large selection of other treats like oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, Ozark Mountain Bagles, muffins from Buzzy Bee's and more to keep the kiddos happy.

Where did they get the name 211 Cafe?

In 1735 there was a social revolution in Europe over coffee. It was kept only to the higher class citizens and the lower class wanted it too. Johann Sebastian Bach couldn't believe this was happening so he wrote an opera called "The Coffee Cantata" and it's full of satire. This opera was Bach's 211th piece and that's where the name comes from."

Mauricio brings the love of his country Guatemala to Bentonville through his passion that is coffee. Thats where the beans are from and he is friends with many of the farmers too, so you can be he takes good care of them.
